Dear All I've been trying to compile some programs for which there are no rpms available yet. These include gwenview, kopete but have also included lyx. After I run ./configure I always get something like the following at the end of the configure output:
checking for Qt... configure: error: Qt (>= Qt 3.0) (library qt-mt) not found. Please check your installation! For more details about this problem, look at the end of config.log. Make sure that you have compiled Qt with thread support!
I have the KDE 3.1.4 and the latest version of Qt and all running on SuSE 8.1. I've tried giving various options to configure such as --with-qt-dir=/usr/lib/qt3 and the ones telling it where the libraries etc are but I still get the above message.
Am I missing something? I'd be greatful of any ideas as to how to solve this. best wishes John
John, My first guess would be that you don't have the -devel files installed these programs need to compile. Go into YaST2 and search for anything -devel and see how many you are missing.
