Well... I figured out this work around by myself. But I was trying to export to a simple html in order to move my bookmarks between my laptop at home and my M$ workstation at work and the Solaris workstation at the university and willing to make this backup process as simple as possible.
I know that .xml 'is the future' but maybe export to .html should be available, too? Especially as the various browsers seem to handle the files differently.
You'll have problems with importing to IE6 and some of the later "upgrades" to 5.5. Work around for that would be to have the exported list as the start page or as the first bookmark. You'll see what I mean when you've tried to import. ;-) -- del suse-kde
