Quicksilver USB 2.0 flash-memory. My SuSE 8.2 box has only a usb 1.1 port but the device was recognized (as /dev/sda1 on one machine and /dev/sdc1 on another). The problem appeared when I tried to mount the memory, I got an error message about wrong filesystem or bad blocks. How should this device be mounted?
What does /etc/fstab indicate? Usually ... mount /media/sdx1 but, perhaps: mount -t vfat /dev/sdx1 /media/sdx1 note: drive indicator replaced by 'x' above. read, ... man mount and/or info mount -- Patrick Shanahan Registered Linux User #207535 http://wahoo.no-ip.org @ http://counter.li.org
