Just deactivate in kmail-preferences in look&feel "Use own Fonts" so that you can use the default. I think you know what I mean because I have here just a german version and don't know how the entries names in english.
I did this here before and here it works.
Maybe this is a bug to report.
Oliver, I cannot find the preferences you refer to. On the english version under the Settings menu there is a Configure Kmail selection.and that brings up a dialog Named Customize Visual Appearance. It has tabs for Fonts, Colors, Layout, Headers, and Profiles. It also has a button to Use Custom Fonts. I have clicked and unclicked that button but it does not change anything. I even went back to the previous version of kdenetwork3-mail and that didn't make any difference. I looked through the Control Center and was unable to find anything that made any difference. This is frustrating! I think I will go to root and see if I have the same problem there. Maybe some preference file is not gettng changed. Guess I am just grasping at straws. Thanks, Richard
