Yo Ben,, I think you misunderstood me...I realize that one can't import a proprietary file & that pegasus is very pissy about it's wonders ;^)...what I say is dumb is the way kmail is designed. It is ridiculous to not be able to have different dirs for addresses or to edit it to one's preference. Why is the email address the 1st colunm? I want the name 1st! What do you do with 100 addresses!!!? Sure it's alphabetical, but sometimes I can't remember a name, but I usually know what list they are on, plus it's easier to find a name in a shorter list. Why does the addressbook default to business addresses & phones? The point I'm making is Kmail should be more flexable & easier to configure & to save. I know it's evolving, but I would have thought that would be the 1st thing to design!
It's not Kmail that's dumb...it's the guy who wrote Pegasus for not opening the format so a proper import filter can be written.
