->Sorry, but I guess this is incorrect and that you missed the point: Yes, I said I missed the point...hence I actually said " Sorry, I missed your point." ;) ->- kmail _can_ import Pegasus email-folders (and up to now nobody has been ->sued... :->), in adddition Pegasus offers Unix-mailbox-format as an alternative ->to its proprietary format. I haven't even bother to look at Pegasus Mail since Win 3.1 so I wouldn't know. I was basically telling that person what I read about 2 years ago. I wasn't aware things had changed. ->> and if the format is reverse engineered in some cases the developer ->> doing the reverse engineering can be jailed under the DMCA. The guy -> ->AFAIK there is no DMCA in NZL. ;) No DMCA in Russia either, but someone got popped for it. What if the person who reverse engineered it was a U.S. Citizen and the Pegasus author decided to use U.S. law to their advantage just to make a fool of the U.S. developer and to cause a stir. :) The EU is working on a law that is very much like the much hated DCMA. ->He has some doubts about quality of open source products that everyone ->who like can read on http://www.pmail.com/sundry/pmlinux.htm and for this ->reason the source won't be given to the public. I never said anything about open sourcing Pegasus Mail. He could make a binary only version for those who wanted to use it. A lot of Windows users don't have issue with binary only software and those would be his target users. :) I've used Mutt for years now...and GUI mailers annoy me...so this is where I exit this conversation. BTW..I was defending KMail earlier. ;) -- Ben Rosenberg ---===---===---===--- mailto:ben@whack.org Tell me what you believe.. I tell you what you should see.
