Hi All!
Occassionally, I click on the panel button to lock my current session and nothing happens. In fact, any method I try to lock the sessions does not work. I can logout completely, but just not lock the session. However, sometimes it works. The only "non-standard" thing I have is VMWare. It **seems** like this only happens when VMWare is running, but since I use VMWare all of the time, it is difficult to say if it really is so. Any ideas or suggestions would be greatly appreaciated.

Hi Jimmo,
I have seen and worked around this problem in SuSE 8.0.
If you run "ps -ax | grep lock" you will see a process called /opt/kde3/bin/kde<something>lock (my memory is slightly foggy). If you kill that process, you will then be able to lock your session.
If this works for you, please reply and fill in my foggy blanks so others may benefit from the information.
Later,
Andy
Thanks, Andy! I will definately let you know. Regards, jimmo -- --------------------------------------- "Be more concerned with your character than with your reputation.
