g'morning everybody,
I have a question concerning the integration of compiled programs into the KDE3 environment.
When I ./configure, make, make install a program (here: Quanta Plus) how do I get all the icons, mime types and links conveniently integrated into my kde-menue (for all users, not only for my user account).
I found that when I do a make install all the programs stuff is copied in /usr/local/kde (all the Quanta Plus stuff, you know). Under this directory I find all the icons, docs, mime-links, desktop-files and-so-on.
When you configure you should use a parameter to tell it where your kde installation is ./configure --prefix=/opt/kde3 That way, everything will be installed in the correct directory //Anders
