Hi, Edward, On Sunday, 9 Jun 2002 14:34:25 +0100, Edward F. Howson tapped out:
How does one get to type chinese characters in KDE? I see keyboard layouts for japanese, vietnamese and thai but nothing for chinese. It is kind of frustrating because I have a chinese friend and everytime she wants to use my system I have to boot into Windows so that she can type chinese characters. I am using SuSE 8.0 and KDE 3.0.1, mostly use konqueror for browsing.
A couple of useful resources in this area are Mike Fabian's web pages at SuSE and the SuSE m17n mailing list: 1. http://www.suse.de/~mfabian/ 2. mailto:m17n@suse.com Hope this helps! Phil -- Philip A. Saeli SuSE Linux 8.0 psaeli@zorodyne.com
