The package checks on 11.1 are a lot more stringent than on previous products which mean that a lot of packages that are in G:C fail even though they build. There's a list at http://tinyurl.com/5olq56 - can maintainers of any packages on G:C go through this list and attempt to fix issues where they exist. In some cases, issues may need to go upstream (pidgin's one of these for example) but in some cases, it might be a packaging issue.
