If I interpret the openSUSE roadmap correctly, submissions are closed
since Oct 07.

i was hoping that developer versions of 2.60 were already being
packaged for 12.1 prior to the Oct 7th deadline, in which case a final
blender 2.6 could still make it through.
opensuse people have been quite happy to package blender 2.5.x (dev)
versions for opensuse releases before............

Please talk with the maintainer of blender.

+ #5: Dave Plater (plater) (2016-06-07 10:48:06)
+ I managed to add cycles to blender last year 2015, it's available from
+ Leap:42.1 onwards. The latest blender just submitted to factory has all
+ the features of the official blender package.
