Feature added by: Bidossessi SODONON (bidossessi) Feature #310506, revision 1 Title: Tighter integration of kerberos in YaST openSUSE-11.4: Unconfirmed Priority Requester: Important Requested by: Bidossessi SODONON (bidossessi) Partner organization: openSUSE.org Description: YaST is able to create a kerberos server (with LDAP backend), and configure a client to use kerberos as an authentication backend. However, there is no obvious way to create principals for users or keytab for services through YaST. Once a kerberos server has been properly configured through YaST, a kerberos integration option should be available for network services that support it (Mail, Web, etc...), in the same way LDAP and CA Certificates are integrated. Furthermore, User creation should provide kerberos options. Use Case: With kerberos server properly configured through YaST, creating a principal for a new or existing user should be as simple as ticking a "add to kerberos" check box. Business case (Partner benefit): openSUSE.org: Principal creation/update and keytab management are the missing elements in making YaST a powerful SSO-capable SME server configuration tool. The base elements are already there. It's only natural for a user who started Kerberos configuration in YaST to want to continue using YaST for the next steps, and we should make that possible. -- openSUSE Feature: https://features.opensuse.org/310506
