Feature #307834, revision 11
Title: allow zypper to understand obs:// repos

openSUSE-11.3: Evaluation
Requester: Important

+ Info Provider: (Novell)
Requested by: andrea florio (anubisg1)
Partner organization:

i think will be wonderful if zypper/YaST will be able to menage obs
repos using the URI currenctly used on kiwi...
obs://X11:/lxde/openSUSE_11.1 (or even
obs://X11:lxde/openSUSE_11.1 using the obs name without / )
is much easier than  (hoping
i didn't forget something writing that down)

Business case (Partner benefit): to have a better cooperation between zypper and obs (and
make easier to add obs repos just adding the project name instead of
the full url

I like this Idea. Hope it can be implement in future versions.

#2: Carlos Gonçalves (cgoncalves) (2010-01-04 17:09:07)
Please install zypper from home:cgoncalves/zypper (same version shipped
with openSUSE 11.2) and check if it works as you are requesting.

yes, it works fine :)

#4: Adrian Schröter (adriansuse) (2010-02-09 18:30:15)
using "obs://" in kiwi or build service is refering to a local build
service instance. This is not always
kiwi has the "opensuse://" convention for refering .

It would be very useful to provide semi-protocol and handler for ymp
files (semi-protocol with shorter, simplified urls: ymp://repo/ymp.file
or ymp://repo/package and/or ymp://repo/package1,package2) and obs
Apt-url equivalent would be less for debianers to complain (; .

+ Where are we with this?
