Feature #309230, revision 1
Title: FreeTDS Stable With UnixODBC Support

openSUSE-11.3: Unconfirmed
Priority
Requester: Important

Requested by: Armando Ortiz (warpkat)
Partner organization: openSUSE.org

Description:
F reeTDS is a set of libraries for Unix and Linux that allows your programs to
natively talk to Microsoft SQL Server and Sybase databases.

Business case (Partner benefit):
openSUSE.org: To make OpenSuSE one of the first major distros to support SQL
Server "out of the box" by way of UnixODBC without having to recompile
languages such as PHP with MSSQL support, which is somewhat antiquated.
