Feature changed by: mao huanxue (vsu) Feature #308146, revision 4 Title: One Installation DVD for 32 and 64 bit openSUSE-11.3: Unconfirmed Priority Requester: Desirable Requested by: Wolfgang Dautermann (dauti) Description: It would be nice, if a 32/64 Bit Installation DVD would exist. (ONE DVD where both a 32 and a 64 bit Version can be installed). (Of course, with less packages, but where one could do a basic installation. After that additional packages could be installed using the network). Discussion: #1: Stanley Miller (stan_qaz) (2009-10-17 20:11:19) The Suse Retail DVD has both 32 and 64 bit options, it does take a double-layer DVD to hold it though. I would find a lot of use for a downloadable 32/64 DVD with fewer packages so it still fit on a single-layer DVD. + #2: mao huanxue (vsu) (2009-10-18 07:14:13) + I think it not that easy to compose both x86/x64 version into one DVD. + No like windows, beside the system install files, openSUSE DVD contains + lots + of GNU/softwares, they are very important, but the DVD's space is + limited. + If we would do this, the GNOME and KDE should be separated. -- openSUSE Feature: https://features.opensuse.org/308146
