I hear nobody complaining about _that_.

I've never seen much usage of /dev/shm on a Desktop system,
while many applications use /tmp.

..And if you see *anything* other than software calling libc shm_* api
effectively using it beyond a fallback doom scenario please file a bug
report.. ;)
