You are aware that with systemd it is impossible to boot with degraded btrfs at all because systemd will never detect that btrfs is ready to be mounted and simply timeout?

And I guess that's not the only possible problem with multi-device Btrfs or with Btrfs in general. But the goal of the blog post is not to encourage people to use multi-device Btrfs or to offer details about what is possible or desirable to do with that technology. The goal is to show that now some configurations can be done with YaST, even directly during the installation process. That's something people have been requesting for years. I assume that people is aware of the possible caveats of the underlying technology.
