The correct netiquette on openSUSE mail lists is to reply *only* to the mail list. https://en.opensuse.org/openSUSE:Mailing_list_netiquette
Says who? Some wiki page? Editable by anyone to their heart's content? When that change was made, there was not even a goddamn log entry provided.
Correct, having an unusual nettiquette does not help people.
Since you remember the prior discussions, you should also remember that there was no consensus, and so everybody just went on their daily business for what, the past 2 years or so, until today that a respondent felt needing pointing out they did not like the style they were responded to.
And the right way to deal with that "problem" is to configure the MDA in a way that does not deliver a mail with a unique Message-ID more than once to a single user. We are in 2019 and people who believe to have problems with other people that use the standard "replyall" method should just contact their sysadmin and tell him/her to configure their local MDA in a user friendly way.
