I just tested this with a very recent version of freerdp
(2.0.0-dev5 (2693389a1)) from Leap 15 to Windows10 (Insider
Preview) and it works for me. Also from Tumbleweed with
krb5-1.16.1-1.6.x86_64.

Do you use any special connection options regarding krb?

Well, thank you -- could you test using the freerdp-version
provided by the leap-repo? 2.0.0~rc2-lp150.1.1

I'm using freerdp through a ssh-tunnel. First I build the tunnel
and then tell freerdp (option v) the ip and the port:
/v:127.0.0.2:1234

Works like a charm on leap 15.0 with freerdpVersion :
2.0.0~rc2-lp150.1.1
# xfreerdp /u:john /v:10.1.1.6

Also rdesktop (1.8.4-lp150.81.2) from OBS X11:Utilities works fine.

No breakage in sight ;)

I noted the same on some target systems, and solved it by adding the
option -sec-nla
