Assuming we can put the appropriate geolocation libraries and database on the installation media without things getting out of hand, I think this isn't a bad feature request.
We could offer this as a service instead, when/if an internet connection is available - http://geoip.jessen.ch/ - gives you the country code for the requestor's IP address. Is easy to set up on one of our public servers.
