I believe you will need to add information about the video hardware
you
are using, and what drivers :-)

I assume you are using tumbleweed?
I am using the built-in graphics hardware of my Haswell processor (no
separate graphics card), and I use Tumbleweed, kept strictly up to date.
inxi output is as follows:

System:    Host: linux64.site Kernel: 4.19.4-1-default x86_64 bits: 64
compiler: gcc v: 8.2.1 Desktop: KDE Plasma 5.14.3
tk: Qt 5.11.2 wm: kwin_x11 dm: SDDM Distro: openSUSE
Tumbleweed 20181126
Graphics:  Device-1: Intel Xeon E3-1200 v3/4th Gen Core Processor
Integrated Graphics vendor: Micro-Star MSI driver: i915
v: kernel bus ID: 00:02.0 chip ID: 8086:0412
Display: x11 server: X.Org 1.20.3 driver: intel unloaded:
fbdev,modesetting,vesa compositor: kwin_x11
           resolution: 1920x1080~60Hz
OpenGL: renderer: Mesa DRI Intel Haswell Desktop v: 4.5 Mesa
18.1.7 compat-v: 3.0 direct render: Yes
Then I would suggest you do what Peter Suetterlin and Felix Miata
suggested to me the other day, when I had a similar problem: I simply
uninstalled xf86-video-intel package and rebooted.

Massive thanks Carlos, that has solved the problem.

Cheers
