I think this time around we got to the bottom of the issue and actually understand it even a bit better, which will help in finding the right fix. The fact that we did not see it for a while is likley that we only switch timezones twice a year (CET->CEST->CET). The 2nd case I know when those long logs happen is in case of reverts of packages, as then the new package's timestamps are out of sync to the old one.
The 'they' in this case refered to the Gurus that understand the details of how those mails are generated - I wouldn't even have a clue where to start looking.
I gave the pointers in my reply - so this was a valid excuse before, but not anymore :) Not saying YOU have to fix it now, but if you feel like scratching an itch, this could be it. Cheers, Dominique
