Your current installation has a mixed set of files. According to the spec files
used to build the VB packages for openSUSE, the following are
installed suid: %verify(not mode) %attr(4750,root,vboxusers)
%{_vbox_instdir}/VBoxNetDHCP
%verify(not mode) %attr(4750,root,vboxusers) %{_vbox_instdir}/VBoxNetAdpCtl
%verify(not mode) %attr(4750,root,vboxusers) %{_vbox_instdir}/VBoxHeadless
%verify(not mode) %attr(4750,root,vboxusers) %{_vbox_instdir}/VBoxSDL
%verify(not mode) %attr(4750,root,vboxusers) %{_vbox_instdir}/VirtualBox

File /usr/bin/VirtualBox is not suid. Your installation shows the wrong
permissions.

You could either do a 'sudo chmod 4750 ' on all 5 of those files above, or use
YaST to reinstall all the virtualbox packages.

Larry

Larry,

I used the command "chkstat --system --set" as root. Then I logged out and
logged in.
Now it is working!!
