I forgot about Mesa vs amdgpu-pro:

Just as a note: You will need an up-to-date kernel to get that sort of performance. The kernel in Leap 42.2 is reasonably antiquated when it comes to the amdgpu kernel module. I don't know about Leap 42.3's kernel, though.
Yes. It should be installing the amdgpu-pro into Leap' 4.4x kernel. If it works the next step should be the latest kernel-stable + mesa.
begs the question, why aren't you using Tw if you need "latest ..."?
I want the latest darktable with openCL, that is enough "latest". I have been using Tumbleweed for half a year. Beautiful, but too many other updates for my taste. Anyhow, I noticed that with Tumbleweed kernels the graphics card works better. So the idea is: Get Leap 42.3 + amdgpu-pro + newer kernels + mesa + new darktable. cu Peter -- To unsubscribe, e-mail: opensuse-factory+unsubscribe@opensuse.org To contact the owner, e-mail: opensuse-factory+owner@opensuse.org
