Yesterday I've seen such hangs and crashes, and I got cores :-)

that looks unrelated to KDE Applications, it's a known bug and fixed
upstream. I would backport the patch, but OBS is down...:

Hi Fabian,

Cool to know a fix exist, and yes I guess we all cross our finger that the
breakage will be fixed soon.
