I'd like to hear a good argument for not giving our XFCE, LXDE, MATE, Cinnamon, Pantheon, Enlightenment, Trinity, etc. communities equal treatment when it comes to desktop selection.
Is standard installation not intended to be reasonably easy to do without requiring internet access to be able to proceed? Installation media size limits how many desktops can be made available without internet access.
