Hello all,
what are openSUSE devs' plans regarding YaST and Wayland compatiblity?
AFAICT there's no way around changing YaST's su implementation if it is to run under GNOME (or KDE for that matter) after X has been dropped for good.
Can you please elaborate? I'm not sure if I have understood the problem. We write YaST under the assumption that it will be, almost always, executed as root but we don't think too much about how that is achieved (running the whole session as root, kdesu, su, sudo...). So far, whatever system is used in the .desktop files is fine, so I'm not sure what's the problem here.
