I assume you are trying openSUSE Tumbleweed. At this point you would be expected to report exactly what wireless adapter you have, and open a bug report in Bugzilla. Why then it did not continue with Ethernet, i don't know, but again you should report in Bugzilla with the exact sequence of events to reproduce the problem.
