Re: [opensuse-factory] unexpected freezes
I have the same issue from 4.8.xxx till 4.10.0-1. My graphics card info is:

So it worked with 4.7.x, or you didn't have the machine before 4.8.x?

10: PCI 02.0: 0300 VGA compatible controller (VGA)

Searching 0x5916 got this:
https://ark.intel.com/products/95442/Intel-Core-i3-7100U-Processor-3M-Cache-2_40-GHz-

Exactly what model is that HP? How old, less than 8-9 months ago designed, maybe a Kaby Lake? If so, you may need to be asking for help from one of the kernel.org mailing lists or the intel-gfx@xxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxx or the xorg@xxxxxxxxxxx or xorg@xxxxxxxxxxxxxxx mailing list.
