Well that isn't very intuitive! It does indeed work though (none of my
snapshots result in a useable desktop but I guess that's a separate
problem). Many thanks for testing this Nicholas, that was kind of you.

general comment - if the confusing dialouge is not a limitation of grub - *it
should be changed*

if you did want more help - can you describe the problem, assumed cause and
what you mean by a usable desktop?
