I use beta versions of Mozilla Firefox and Thunderbird on Windows, to help with testing etc.
I would like to do the same on SuSE Tumbleweed. I cannot find any repos containing the rpms, so I downloaded the versions from the Mozilla web site.
I typically have 6 different SeaMonkey and Firefox versions open at once, and most of the time am not running the installed openSUSE version unless booted to TW. Good for you
Beta Firefox installation was a breeze, and I am able to use it on Tumbleweed just fine with no issues (other than product issues since this is Beta, which are issues I am seeking anyways).
Beta Thunderbird though shows no scroll bars at all nor scroll arrows in the scroll region of the window. This does not happen on Windows. I suspect this is a Tumbleweed/XFCE issue and not a Thunderbird issue, since I see many references to these types of issues on Linux distros. However, I not been able to find a fix. Would anyone know the fix or what direction I should be looking in?
People not using Gnome need to collectively jump en masse down the throats of those upstream responsible, the Gnome/GTK people. "jump en masse down the throats of those upstream responsible" - now
