Hello,
since the google doc is not accessible any more for me here the update of my entry.
Upgrade 42.1 to 42.2 Works with the following issues: 1. Monitor cable has to be more tightly fixed than for normal use, else screen remains black.
Very interesting, but I'm not sure that classifies as a bug, probably just X or Wayland being more accurate probing the monitor and a loose cable wont help there
2. When upgrading from DVD with "language de", rest default: at Progress 97% "Installation des Bootmanagers" this message is shown: Execution of command "" failed. Exit code 1. Error output: Installing for i386-pc platform. File descriptor 4 (dev/sda1) leaked on vgs invokation. Parent PID 26397: /usr/sbin/grub2-install /run/lvm/lvmetad.socket: connect failed: No such file or directory. WARNING: Failed to connect to lvmetad. Falling back to internal scanning. /usr/sbin/grub2-install: Dateisysten ext2 unterstützt keine Einbettungen. /usr/sbin/grub2-install: Fehler: Einbettung ist nicht möglich, jedoch für die Installation mit RAID und LVM erforderlich. Continueing and booting works.
very interesting, please file a bug http://bugs.opensuse.org As its an installation bug, YaST logs will be required - https://en.opensuse.org/openSUSE:Bugreport_YaST
3. Desktop background is reset to default.
Interesting, also please file a bug - you will need to provide more details, such as which desktop environment you are using. Regards, Richard
