Hello fellow Tumbleweed users. If you have just upgraded tumbleweed to the latest snapshot, and GDM/Gnome both fail to start, you will have to reinstall gnome-related packages: rpm -qa --qf '%{name}\n' | grep gnome | xargs sudo zypper in -f And gnome will start again!
