What pkg would go into such prj, what would be in its repo list? The question from Henne was not answered yet.
E.g. {KDE,Gnome,XFCE,...}:Extra build against Distro:Update would be just a few of the candidates, or other apps in newer versions than Distro.
I think I can speak for the entire GNOME Team here: no one of us will do efforts to get the GNOME Stack into any contrib repo. GNOME historically wants a solid and recent underlying base system. It's not rare that a GNOME Update asked for an updated X-Stack (or at least parts of it) - or more recent system library of anything. Asking for commitment from the GNOME Team (which is somewhat 2 - 3 people) to maintain this on a different level for backports is utopic. This is not to say that you can't add GNOME to any such contrib repo - just that you will need a maintainer team for it that is also willing and capable of handling bugs. The packages alone are 'the easy part' (It's not just an accident that we do not provide GNOME:STABLE:* repos for all kind of combinations) Cheers, Dominique -- To unsubscribe, e-mail: opensuse-factory+unsubscribe@opensuse.org To contact the owner, e-mail: opensuse-factory+owner@opensuse.org
