Everybody won before too - everyone had the option of removing YaST.
Nothing gained.

Counterintuitive. It's "Minimal" but I have to remove stuff? By
definition, it's not minimal if you have to remove something that's not
an absolute requirement.

A show of hands please, in the last 10-15 years, how many of you
actually went and removed YaST from your server installations?

Proving what, exactly? That a random sampling of people on one mailing
list uses YaST more than doesn't (or vice versa)?

Yes, I have - several times.
