for example to restore a snapper restore point

small tutorial here:
http://snapper.io/2014/04/29/rollback.html

i'm not sure on how to ad this, but maybe someone does....

Are you sure it isn't already?

it should happen whenever snapper is configured and snapshotting is enabled

This should happen when the following two things are true

btrfs as the root filesystem (true by default in Leap)
root filesystem is at least 40GB in size (true by default in Leap, if
the device is big enough.

if you've been testing this in a VM or any other machine where the
root filesystem is not btrfs and/or smaller than 40GB, then not seeing
the menu items for booting to snapshot is a FEATURE, not a bug - you
dont want snapper to be enabled when there isn't sufficient disk space
to use it :)

if you've been testing this on a machine with a root filesystem set to
btrfs and with that filesystem larger than 40GB, then I think this is
a bug you need to file :)

In Tumbleweed, this feature you're requesting is there, and working as
I describe above, as shown by this test:
https://openqa.opensuse.org/tests/86093/modules/livecdreboot/steps/6
