If you edit manually, a kernel update would destroy those "fixes". Use Yast's bootloader module, or edit /etc/default/grub.cfg,, then run grub2-mkconfig.

Ok, I know. This was the from the file created during the 42.1 installation, just to show it exists, even that the boot menu was not displayed after reboot. ---- Terje J.
