Is this an indication there is, at most, a badly written or non-existent document on how to become an openSUSE.org maintainer?
Hi
is this genuine question, complaint, are you volunteering to update
documentation or just a rant? I am honestly not able to tell.
Also what is this "openSUSE.org maintainer"?
I'm sorry for the confusion, I was confused by the request to send a private E-mail containing instructions as to how to become an openSUSE.org maintainer of a package. It seems to me such a process should be well documented by someone already working as a documentation maintainer and thus should only need a link returned in an email to get the volunteer (Thank you, Larry, by the way.) started. If there is no such documentation and it can be developed in the openSUSE.org wiki, I would entertain working with someone who has used the process to develop such a document, since I have yet to ferret out the process.
While writing this response, I have received Greg Freemeyer's response. From what he has posted, it appears there is no such document. No wonder I haven't worked it out for myself, yet.
It is described quite well,
