: Hello List ,
- in case of interest :
google-earth-stable-6.0.3.2197-0.i386 will not function :
" googleearth-bin: error while loading shared libraries: libX11.so.6: cannot open shared object file: No such file or directory "
Seems you're missing to install libX11-6 (if you are on a 32bit system) or libX11-6-32bit if you're on a 64bit system.
- many thanks
- still no joy : now getting errors : needs " libXrender & libXext.so.6:" Why don't you install the RPM with [...]?
zypper in --no-r google-earth-stable_current_i386.rpm (or x86_64, whatever fits in your case)
that way, you will automatically get the dependencies required. ................
- thank you : i am educated zypper in --no-r google-earth-stable_current : this i did & install went smoothly - unfortunately google-earth crashes as soon as the blue earth globe appears thanks ellan -- To unsubscribe, e-mail: opensuse-factory+unsubscribe@opensuse.org To contact the owner, e-mail: opensuse-factory+owner@opensuse.org
