Because of unstable ABIs in Haskell (Ocaml has the same issue) pandoc (and all other Haskell packages) must depend on packages providing `ghc(<haskell package name>-<version>-<ABI hash>)` and not `ghc-<haskell package name>-<version>`. Hence the packages you mentioned in your first email message appear to be leaf packages when in fact they are not.
For a reliable way to find out which package requires another package use one of these: - rpm -e --test (doesn't require root privileges, but only lists direct dependencies) - zypper rm -D - yast2 sw_single rpm --whatrequires only looks for the exact string in the list of requires, and thus won't report on indirect dependencies, different spellings, etc. Andreas. -- Andreas Schwab, SUSE Labs, schwab@suse.de GPG Key fingerprint = 0196 BAD8 1CE9 1970 F4BE 1748 E4D4 88E3 0EEA B9D7 "And now for something completely different." -- To unsubscribe, e-mail: opensuse-factory+unsubscribe@opensuse.org To contact the owner, e-mail: opensuse-factory+owner@opensuse.org
