last fbset release was in 1999, that is 14 years ago, nowadays all this stuff is obsolete, replaced by Kernel mode setting (KMS)
I don't care how. I just want to be able to find out what mode is operational on a vtty in use. That's all I ever used fbset for. How is that information obtained while running KMS kernels? -- "The wise are known for their understanding, and pleasant words are persuasive."
