I downloaded the DVD-iso (openSUSE-DVD-Build0348-x86_64.iso), applied isohybrid to it and installed from the then created USB stick. Installation goes without any warning or error, but after it's finished the system won't boot up from the disk: No operating system.

I am unable to boot this disk, as said in op. But this is fdisk applied to the disk:

Well ... you have at least 5 HDDs (assuming you booted from USB stick to get this output) so the first thing you need to know - from which disk you actually boot. That's something installer cannot know. I suggest you download bootinfoscript (http://sourceforge.net/p/bootinfoscript/code/ci/e7fc7064677c9cdc7bff12c315bb...) and paste output somewhere, e.g. susepaste.org.
