I can't boot to the Gnome live CD for 12.3. I can't even do a media check, it stops at the line "sr 2:0:0:0 Attached scsi generic sg1 type 5." Booting to Gnome, I only get as far as the green wallpaper and wait 10-15 minutes, but it goes no further. It seems to quit, looking at my CPU monitor. I'm trying to run 12.3 in VirtualBox OSE with 1536MB RAM. The image passes the checksum. Are there any known issues with this?
I don't know if it is related to. I was trying to boot openSUSE 12.3 GNOME Live CD-i686 into already installed openSUSE 12.1 and 12.2 x86_64 with similar above outcome (you mentiioned). Instead, booting from openSUSE 12.1 or 12.2 x86 (32-bit) made the trick.
Have you tried booting from 32-bit or 64-bit Live CD ?
I've tried the 32-bit image on a VM, and both the 32- and 64-bit CDs on my computer. All three fail on my system. I have a Core 2 CPU and 4GB RAM. It sounds like it's only working in particular cases. Jon -- To unsubscribe, e-mail: opensuse-factory+unsubscribe@opensuse.org To contact the owner, e-mail: opensuse-factory+owner@opensuse.org
