It has. At least in general.
Actually on openSUSE the package mozilla-nss-certs has which is required
and used by Firefox.

Ooops, you are right. Sorry. I forgot about that :-(

Just like NoScript, AdBlock, etc. this side of security is controlled by
an Extension called PERSPECTIVES which contains a database of sites
which are considered "safe".
This is just an addon not a general feature so it might be true for you
but not for others.
