The Gnome Live CD build fails today with the following:

This is the problem:

zypper random segfaults are unfortunately still normal in Factory.

+ exit 139 May-27 16:00:58<1> : EXEC [rm -f /usr/src/packages/BUILD/kiwi-image-livecd-gnome-12.1/tmp/screenrc.smart*] May-27 16:00:59<1> : EXEC [rm -f /usr/src/packages/BUILD/kiwi-image-livecd-gnome-12.1/tmp/screenrc.ctrls] failed
I don't think that this is the problem.
Am I correct that "rm -f /usr/src/packages/BUILD/kiwi-image-livecd-gnome-12.1/tmp/screenrc.ctrls" failed? That command worked in a separate terminal.
From my experience with the zypper segfaults, just retrying them usually fixes the problem.
So just try to build the CD again and I guess it will work.
I just started a new trial as you suggested. There were some updates to the spec files that might be important. I see that Factory produced new versions of both KDE and Gnome Live CDs. Perhaps things are OK now. One other problem that I see happens when a build crashes. If I do not reboot, the next build will crash with =============================== + config=livecd-gnome + rm -rf tmp out + mkdir tmp out + rm -rf /home/rpmdir rm: cannot remove '/home/rpmdir/rpms': Device or resource busy error: Bad exit status from /var/tmp/rpm-tmp.Oy9k5Y (%build) RPM build errors: Bad exit status from /var/tmp/rpm-tmp.Oy9k5Y (%build) =============================== It seems that the cleanup following the crash is incomplete. My workaround is to rename /home/rpmdir. Larry -- To unsubscribe, e-mail: opensuse-factory+unsubscribe@opensuse.org To contact the owner, e-mail: opensuse-factory+owner@opensuse.org
