Software.o.o downloads M3, which is pretty old by now. download.opensuse.org/factory/iso are the most recent ones.
since i wasn't sure which of the iso.s were installing ok (there's sporadic reports on this list & forums, but i didn't feel like reading all that stuff again), and since after installing from any iso image, even a more recent one, i'll still have to update most packages from the factory repo, i installed an old KDE liveCD (M3), which i proceded to upgrade to M4 via zypper. i see the point installing a released milestone to be able to submit bugs for that particular stage, but when installing factory anyway, what does it matter how recent the iso snapshot was? btw., regarding this thread's subject, grub2 was automatically installed & configured, in addition to legacy grub (which i chose), but i didn't look into / try that boot option yet. (no time, and was happy that i got everything working almost perfectly, incl. nvidia blob, audio, libreoffice (3.5.3.2), K:D:F incl. akonadi/nepomuk/strigi & kmail (haven't tried kontact yet either). -- phani. -- To unsubscribe, e-mail: opensuse-factory+unsubscribe@opensuse.org To contact the owner, e-mail: opensuse-factory+owner@opensuse.org
