Is there a chance the package search "webpin" in Yast will be working for 12.2 release?
The webservice hasn't been functional years.
The real question is if we could finally remove this lame duck yast module from the default install to save users the frustration and wasted time.
You're speaking about yast2-packager-webpin? Please file a bugreport and suggest to drop it - and tell me the bug number, I'll help to push this forward,
I have an older bugzilla about this unfortunate misfeature: https://bugzilla.novell.com/show_bug.cgi?id=723648 I don't think that dropping search capabilites is a wise move. Implementing a proper search engine would be much more appreciated. I am misusing 'osc bse' most of the time for this task. cheers, JW- -- o \ Juergen Weigert paint it green! __/ _=======.=======_ <V> | jw@suse.de back to ascii! __/ _---|____________\/ \ | 0911 74053-508 say #263A!__/ (____/ /\ (/) | _____________________________/ _/ \_ vim:set sw=2 wm=8 SUSE LINUX Products GmbH, GF: Jeff Hawn, J.Guild, F.Imendoerffer, HRB 16746 (AG Nuernberg), Maxfeldstrasse 5, 90409 Nuernberg, Germany SuSE.
