Hi,
I experienced NIS not starting during boot on 12.2 milestone 3.
When I start NIS manually it works until reboot.
Umm, I can't reproduce getting it running. I did some configuring using Yast and it worked, but I can't get it working again, now. I think there's some problem with rpcbind (from /var/log/messages): Apr 23 08:11:14 pckr93 rpcbind: cannot bind tcp: Address already in use ... [network starting] Apr 23 08:11:24 pckr93 ypbind[2218]: Unable to register (YPBINDPROG, YPBINDVERS, tcp). Apr 23 08:11:24 pckr93 ypbind[2204]: Starting ypbind..done I guess, rpcbind doesn't like that the network isn't up until about some 10 seconds later. Best regards Robert
Happens both with autoyast and manual installation.
The appropriate excerpt from /ver/log/messages is (I think):

Is there anything known about this?
Thanks and best regards Robert
