I've spoken with Jigish Gohil[1] and we're clear to move in with Cinnamon. He's busy during this days, so I'm taking the lead with Cinnamon. A few things people will need to know about Cinnamon:
* Cinnamon is a replacement for gnome-shell and requires GNOME3 to be installed;

I've written this 'article' about Cinnamon and openSUSE (some might have seen it in the planet): http://www.marques.so/2012/01/linux-mints-cinnamon-1-2-deployed-for-opensuse...
The GNOME:Cinnamon project is currently rebuilding and there's a cinnamon.ymp installer also.
So, will this remain a user supported add on/extra like KDE3? or will it morph into an official package come 12.2?
The main objective is for it to come on 12.2, but there's a few things to polish first.
Sounds good, if/when you want it to be added to Tumbleweed, please be sure to let me know. thanks, greg k-h -- To unsubscribe, e-mail: opensuse-factory+unsubscribe@opensuse.org To contact the owner, e-mail: opensuse-factory+owner@opensuse.org
