I found, by analysing a not properly working /etc/init.d/amavis script that the utilty checkproc returns different return codes compared to this utility in openSUSE 11.4. See bug report https://bugzilla.novell.com/show_bug.cgi?id=706257 I don't know if this is causing more problems in other initialisation scrips or elsewhere. So be warned. -- fr.gr.
